This thing is great. I used it on the hose that run water to my rv. I also ran it over the above ground hydrant, so far it hasn't frozen down to 22 degrees, we haven't had colder weather than that. Im very happy with this, way cheaper and way better than a heated hose.

Good product

This has kept my pipes clear in winter and it will feel less lonely and warm if I ever wish to hang myself with it. Which I don't want to do. At all. No matter what my ex wife tells you.

So far doing the job in this extreme cold weather we've been having in the north east. I have it installed on my high efficiency gas heater drain line, which froze up last winter and shut down the heater.

Disclaimer: I'm writing a review of this product after 2 months of usage. My spec-home was built with a super efficient heater. Sounds great but it produces condensate water whenever it runs (stupid). The heater is in the attic and the excess water is routed into two PVC pipes through a bedroom wall and drips outside. Awful design. When temperatures drop below 18 degrees F, the water in the PVC pipe freezes. After a day, the accumulation of water trips the overflow switch disabling the heater. Since I installed 2 of these 18' units, my PVC pipes have not frozen. Recently, temperatures fell to the single digits and water continued to flow and drip outside. I really like that the max temperatures is 85F and will automatically shutoff when the ambient temperature reaches 55F.

As someone who appreciates a good deal I’m finding myself acquiring more and more Vevor products…good quality for best price. This has kept my hose from freezing down to 10 degrees so far

Really well made heat system.. Built in thermostat and power light. I did use ties to secure the heat strip to the pipes mounted to an outside wall. I also put pipe insulation sleeves around the pipe . So far nothing has froze.

There is no better heat tape. The self-regulating is along the whole length, and so it only gets hot where needed, and not just because one end is cold (standard heat tape from home improvement stores). This has kept my yard spigot/faucet thawed all winter, even in freezing winds.
