Trailer gate assist
Fairly easy to install and makes raising the trailer gate effortless. Should have bought one years ago. I highly recommend!

Ja*** Well worth the money
Excellent value and works like a charm!
Everything was included, the instructions were easy to follow, and installation took about an hour. My trailer gate was so heavy that my wife couldn’t lift it. Now she can use one foot to get it moving, and the lift assist does the rest.
One installation warning: be careful drilling the required ½-inch mounting holes. My bit caught, and the drill kicked hard enough that I nearly crushed my hand between the drill and the gate. It happened before I had time to react—even a regular 18V or 20V drill has plenty of torque.
Using a step bit made drilling much easier because it enlarged the holes gradually. It helped reduce grabbing, but you still need to be prepared for kickback. The three-piece set I used also had a long, narrow bit that worked well for starting pilot holes on the opposite side of the frame.
I have an original Gorilla-Lift on my other trailer, so I’ve been able to compare both. This one costs about half as much and works great. Very happy with the purchase!

Works great, makes lifting gate easy, instructions could use some tweaking but otherwise pretty simple install, even with sides higher than 24 inches, just have to figure correct mounting height and angle on gate end
