I bought the pump to replace a 1.5hp Hayward that I had used for 4 or 5 yrs. The Hayward went bad and stopped pumping. The Vevor pump is quieter than the Hayward, even when it was new. By it being a higher hp pump than the 1.5hp Hayward, it pumps more water per minute, and has more pressure. I have used it for about 3 weeks and I am very pleased with the pump so far.

This is great value for the money. Not sure why this says above ground . . . because it seems to work fine for the in-ground pool! Anyway, glad to have purchased it.

The pump was a great value and I received it very fast.I haven't had it long but it seems powerful and runs quietly.

I needed a side discharge pump, I purchased this one with the hope of being able to rotate the pump on the motor to convert it to side discharge, I figured if I was unable to make it a side discharge pump, I could plumb it in as a top discharge. After reading a review saying that they couldn't change the discharge direction, I figured I would be ok with that risk. Anyway it is very simple to rotate the pump, it is constructed like every other electric motor ever, with just 4 long skinny bolts holding the motor together and the pump to the motor. All you have to do to change the discharge direction is to ensure that the pump is not connected to power, remove the filter basket, then remove the back cover. There are 4 small bolt heads (about ¼ inch or 7mm), unscrew all 4 of those bolts, then just rotate the pump on the motor a quarter turn (I had to wiggle the pump to get the bolt holes to line up), then resemble everything.

The first pump I received had bad seal but customer service took care of the issue promptly. The second pump arrived in timely manner and has worked as described. Would highly recommend this product and if needed the customer service is exceptional.

The one thing that I don't like is it doesn't have a shut off switch. I had to purchase a switch so I could shut it off and on when I backwashed my pool.

I need to get a o ring for the cap on my pump can you help me With out it water is coming out t like crazy if you can’t can you let me know what size o ring I need to fit and I will check around

Shipped very quickly. Little assembly required. No switch, must plug and unplug for on /off. Has worked well for one month. One time it did not turn back on. I removed cover, spun impeller with screwdriver and it took off. Hopefully we’ll get a few years out of it.

Pump was easy to install and came with adapters for 2 different size hoses. Only downside is there is no on/off switch so you have to unplug it when you are not using it.

Really needed a self priming pump and this was desacribed as a sefl priming BUT IS NOT a self priming, Good Pump & quality but not what was described in description
