This review is for the EVOR Deep Well Submersible Pump, 0.5HP, purchased to keep as a spare - backup. Excellent value for the price. I have purchased and used both the 110V 1HP and 0.5 HP units for an OFF-GRID shallow well (30 foot) application and both have performed properly. In an ideal world, one would prefer to run deep-well pumps from 220V systems but not everyone has that available. One issue I have is the inherent start-up power required for all pumps. My 2,000W, pure sine inverter won’t start the 1 HP unit which works fine from a 3500W inverter. A 2200W (nominal 1800W) generator will run both but again, pushes the start-up power required. Creative individuals may consider adding an adequate “soft-start” controller if your system is tripping breakers on start-up. Considering the smaller, 0.5HP unit produces perhaps two-thirds the output of the larger unit, I would recommend it for those who have a limited power available because of limitations in solar output, battery banks, wiring or smaller inverters. Of course using larger gauge wire (preferably 12 AWG) in your extension cords and minimizing cord distance will help too. Unfortunately, I require a 100 foot extension to my well but with the 12 gauge wire, it is still able to start and run the 1 HP pump from my 3500W inverter. As with all wells, insure it has been developed properly to minimize sand and sediment being drawn into the impellers and it has sufficient water to continuously cover the pump inlet under the flow rate you will be extracting.

Installed very far from the house. Used 12 gauge extension cord. Pump pushes water up 50 feet head and 300 foot distance. It fills my 1000 gallon tank in 40 minutes.

Bought and installed this pump for a customer that needed his pond fed continuously with well water. The pump has been running since January 2026 and has not missed a beat. I would highly recommend this pump and the price is absolutely the best I’ve found.

Works great! Took the motor off and it hooked directly up to my fountain. Pond never looked better!

Bought this pump to use the motor on a pond fountain. It hooked up perfectly to the spray nozzle. Works well! I’ll be buying another one for the second fountain…😊

I purchased this over a regular well pump for my home. This is a very powerful pump, I was able to fill my hot tub in just an hour, 1,100 litres. If there was an option to have a longer power cord would have been a bonus to keep the electrical connection out of the water. I hope this will pass the test of time.

This pump has worked for me so far. Has lots of power and is pumping water very easily.

So far so good. It's been in the well for a couple years now. Tried it out when I first installed it, then again in February this year. Pushed out roughly 10gpm for a good thirty minutes straight to test the well. No hiccups, no problems. Although - not 28gpm.
