I would have given this a higher rating under different circumstances. I’ve been full-time overlanding since June and purchased this heater specifically to get through winter travel and cold nights. In terms of heat output, it does exactly what it claims — it puts out great warmth and, for the price, it’s an affordable way to stay warm. That part has been solid. Unfortunately, based on real-world use in a moving vehicle, I’ve run into some serious shortcomings. 1. Fuel cap leakage: When driving with the tank around half full, the cap leaks. Fuel has sloshed out onto my vehicle floor and, at times, somehow made its way out of the cap breather hole and onto the doors. This caused diesel to drip onto the heater’s air outlet and soak into the air hose and surrounding plastic near the heater core. Once that happened, the diesel smell filled the cabin and lingered. I strongly recommend choosing a model where the exhaust and warm-air outlet are on separate ends and the fuel tank has a properly sealed cap. I am still trying to find a replacement cap that fits correctly. 2. Poor-quality hose: The included hose is very low quality. It has ripped three times in less than a week, especially at right-angle bends. It also absorbs diesel fuel when exposed, which permanently traps the smell. I ended up replacing the hose with a better-quality insulated heater duct, which has significantly improved the situation, but this should not be necessary out of the box. This heater is warm and budget-friendly, and for stationary use it may be fine. However, for full-time or mobile overlanding, the fuel cap design and hose quality make it inadequate as delivered, particularly due to fuel leaks and diesel odor inside the cabin. After replacing the hose, performance improved, but I have not yet been able to find a properly fitting, non-leaking fuel cap, which remains a major concern. Especially since I may have to replace this new hose as well if the leaking continues onto the air output. I should not have to clean it with soap and water every time. It’s disappointing that an otherwise capable heater is held back by these issues, especially when comparable models with better tank and hose designs exist + or - $30-40

I just received my diesel heater a couple of days ago and I fueled it up and et it run for about 4 hours. I kept smelling diesel fuel and when I moved it, I smell more diesel fuel so I’ll reach out to Vevor customer service which took them almost 2 days to respond just to tell me to replace the fuel cap. I just bought this heater and I don’t think I should have to pay to replace the fuel cap or tighten up bolts on this heater. I cannot deal with the diesel smell as it spills when I move this heater around. Everything else with this heater works I recently purchased a diesel heater and fueled it up, running it for about four hours. However, I kept smelling diesel fuel, and when I moved it, the smell intensified. I reached out to Vevor customer service, but they took nearly two days to respond, only to advise me to replace the fuel cap. Considering that I recently bought this heater and don’t believe I should have to pay to replace the fuel cap or tighten the bolts, I’m concerned about the situation. The diesel smell is a significant issue because it spills when I move the heater. While everything else with the heater works great, I’m struggling to overcome the diesel smell and resolve this issue with the company. After spending nearly $600 on other items and planning to spend more, I really want to know how they would address this issue without suggesting a simple replacement. I want to share this experience with others in case they encounter the same problem. I’ve only had the heater for less than a week, and I had planned to create a YouTube video about diesel heaters from this company, but now I’m uncertain about proceeding.great. It’s just getting over the diesel smell and trying to work it out with this company after I spent nearly $600 on other items and plan on spending more. I would like to know how they would resolve this issue without telling me to replace the cap. Just want to let others know to be aware in case you have the same issue. Followed directions, got everything in place and got the power button. It started nicely, ramped up and was blowing great heat for about ten minutes. After that it stopped blowing and said startup failure. I’ve yet to get it started again. Fuel pump working, glow plug tested good etc. it’ll go through start up procedure, you’ll hear combustion for a few seconds then nothing and gives error of E10 fail to start or E8, check oil level. Fuel level is full. Dealing with customer service has been uneventful. Keep requesting videos of it not working so I sent one. Just want my return info and money back for a faulty product.

If i could give 0 stars i would. Barely used the heater at all, a little less than one tank of fuel, stopped working and got an error code. Returning it has been very annoying waiting to here back to continue with my return.

I never received the diesel heater I ordered back in October. I've had a couple of back and forth inquiries with Customer Service and was eventually advised it was lost in transit. I've tried to initiate a refund a couple of times, but the refund screen wants a file attached. When I attach a PDF file of my customer service conversation, I get a pop up stating unacceptable format. I am quite frustrated with Vevor, and will not shop with them again unit this is resolved.

First thing....I put fuel in and it started leaking....Pulled it apart to find a piece of metal shaving in the fuel pump ....Was running the unitandit suddenly stopped and began smoking after only usingit for a shortperiod ....Fixed it and had it in my home and noticed a strong diesel smell ....The fuel tank has a small Crack and dripped diesel all over the whole unit and wasn't discovered until the smell was overwhelming ....Taking it out of the box and I sliced my finger to the bone on a decal on the outside cover of the unit because it's a soft metal and sharp as a razor....Poor design with air output and exhaust just under it ....Looks good at first sight but looks will fool you on this one ....I contacted them and received a refund but that was it and never heard from them again....Even asked for maybe a coupon or a little something because of the complete hassle and was shut down completely....1 out of 5 stars ....Thanks Vevor for nothing

Heater ran for a few hours and stopped. Code E06 fan failure. Been going back and forth with costumer service and they won't replace it. Would not recommend buying from vevor.
