lilman80 Stripped spring screws right out of the box
Package came in quickly, however after installation hose would not retract back.
Popped the side cover off and these 3 screws had been stripped / the plastic ear they screw into was busted. (These screws hold the spring in place to allow hose to retract.)
I was able to pull hose all the way out and put screws back in the other 3 slots… still unsure why it only had 3 out of the 6 screws….
Then was able to manually spool the hose back up putting tension on the spring now that the screws had it locked in place… it retract a little fast,
Assuming that it’s because it had to be modified straight out of the box to work.

Truong I'm stuck
Didn't make the anniversary, I was pretty happy about the product. Bought it mid August last year, used for three months, put it away, bring out this May, I have to replace the spray nozzle and now the hose stucked inside the housing on the left side where the drive belt is. What a waste.

Leider nach 6 Monaten kaputt. Verliert Wasser am inneren Schlauchanschluss. Leider kommt man nicht dran ohne die Trommel zu öffnen und den Wickelmechanismus zu zerstören.
Sehr schade, sonst eine gute Schlauchtrommel.

Francis Broke on first try
Spring unwound on the first use.
Unable to reel the hose back in, even by hand.
Very unsatisfied why a product that should be better than that.
Support gives very nice advice such as: try unrolling completely and try again. As if we where totally clueless. SPRING IS BROKEN.

jeff baldwin Lack of pressure with smaller diameter long hose.
The reel worked just fine but the 100' 1/2 " hose did not provide enough pressure to wash car. Pressure has not been an issue at our house ever. Bought a 65' 5/8" version that works much better but still not as much pressure as a 50' 3/4" garden hose. I guess a 3/4" hose is just too big and heavy for one of these fairly compact reels.
