Gregory Murphy Difficult to uncoil for some folks.
I like that it recoils like it should. I used to leave my hoses lying in the lawn until it was time to mow and then wind them up. Now I wind it up and turn the water off for peace of mind. The recoils works so well because of the strength of the spring inside. Consequently when I pull the hose out to use it it takes real effort to pull against that spring, especially uncoiling all 100 feet of hose. My wife is unable to so. I am an older guy now and even I get a bit winded uncoiling it. Just so you know.

The only issue is the half inch hose is not good. Little water pressure. Go with the 5/8. We'll made and retracts perfectly

Gerry Excellent hose reel
Very good! I use it all the time and it is MUCH better than the manual hose reel that it replaced. I was a little worried that the 1/2 hose wouldn't have enough pressure as my old reel had 3/4 inch hose, but it is fine.
I would have given it 5 stars but for one item. It's advertised as safe in rain and sun and that is absolutely true. However, they put some safety stickers on it and they are NOT safe for sun or rain. After only a few months the stickers curled up and looked terrible. I just peeled them off but if they are going to put safety stickers on something that is going to be outside all the time then they should have used stickers that can take the sun and rain.
But other then the stickers, which is just an annoyance, I am VERY pleased with the reel
