Wall mounted, holds up well. But care necessary to properly affix to selected surfaces. Applied to shiplap siding on house, took care in finding/mounting on studs. Wind back is vigorous and one should be careful as hose can accelerate and the hose head can snap back with sufficient force to cause damage or painful impacts on body. Looking forward to seeing what it looks like after 1 winter. Might dismount for the season to not find out...

Another great retractable hose from Vevor. I now have 4 of these and will add a fifth next summer. I am done with rolling up hoses on the ground just to have them rot in the sun and fill with ants. It’s nice to have the ability to easily dismount these reels each winter to reduce wear and tear and replace them each spring.

I have never had any luck before using a retractable hose. But this one actually works very well. It has a feature which allows you to remove it for winter storage with just one pin. That was a smart design. It is a lot of plastic which is unavoidable so after a few years in the sun that may be an issue. Mounting it on a 4 x 4 post was not the easiest thing as the bolt holes on the bracket are about 3 1/4in on center. It does retract well and is easy to use.

Great hose reel. Plenty of flow from hose. Retractable part of reel works great too.

Mike B Nice way to yank your hose!

If you like to stretch your hose now and then, this is for you!
Good quality components though I would not leave it out during winter. Definitely should hold onto the hose end when winding back into the reel as the mechanism that travels side-to-side should not get slammed by a free whipping hose end.
