I was looking for something to quickly charge my lifepo4 batteries off a gas generator, most of the chargers I’ve tried are plastic and fail especially the plastic fan. This thing however is a well built beast! Metal construction and a proper cooling fan. I have the 45 amp one draws about 870 watts when charging. I’m very pleased with it.

Okay it's not perfect. It's not flawless. It's a mass-produced product. I am restoring and upgrading a 1993 class B camper van to modern specs including lithium iron phosphate batteries and so I had to take the old lead acid compatible converter charger and send it to the local recyclers I had another brand converter charger That I purchased before I knew this one was available and it was twice the cost . It kept shining itself off and just was having fits charging the lifo 4 battery. They sent me a replacement unit that was 55 amps and not 45 which is more than the breaker or the wiring my van can handle and I didn't really want to upgrade all of that stuff yet. Got this thing installed. Switching it over to lithium mode wasn't quite as easy as I would hoped. That little switch is kind of hard to reach through the teeny tiny little hole there, but it's doable. That's probably my biggest complaint. The actual construction of this thing is beefy and the components that I can see that were used are top notch. The clamps that the cables locked down are secure and power output is nice and clean. Assuming this thing holds up and mind you it's going to get infrequent use since I have DC to DC charging and portable solar. So this thing's probably only get use when I leave the refrigerator on and forget about putting solar panels out and don't drive for a while. All told told if they did a decent job with quality control. I can honestly say this is a good unit and I'm hoping to see more of them available because I'd like to take my old mobile amateur radio setup and turned it into a base station.

I was looking for a charger that could do 80A and could fully support Lithium batteries with different charging cycles. This charger does exactly that and at a price much lower than the competition. I liked the orange colour too. Getting tools and spare fuses was nice too. I do not get the full 80A but pretty close and it definitely charges my two large batteries pretty quickly. It does not get hot as a big fan on the back which keeps it cool and not too noisy. I don't notice the noise inside the trailer. I wish the mode and voltage selector switches were on the back or front rather than the side as more convenient (for me at least). The last niggle is that the 12v cable screw downs don't do a great job of holding bare cable, and wish it had M8 or M10 battery terminal screws instead so I did not have to cut the terminals off the end of my cables. The max cable size is 4 gauge by the way.

VEVOR 55A Lithium RV Converter/Charger Review I installed this charger in a small trailer power system with a 12V 100Ah LiFePO4 battery, inverter, and DC distribution panel. The unit performed better than expected. In lithium mode the charger delivered a steady ~55 amps during the bulk stage, which quickly brought the battery from about 89% to full. Once the battery reached full charge, the current tapered down smoothly, indicating the charger transitions properly from bulk to absorption. The charger integrates well with a bus-bar system and was able to power the 12V loads while charging the battery at the same time, which is exactly how an RV converter should operate. The fan noise is reasonable and wiring is straightforward with the screw terminal block. The selectable modes (Lead Acid, Lithium, and Fixed Voltage) make it flexible for different setups. Overall impressions: Pros • Strong 55A charging output • Works well with LiFePO4 batteries • Powers loads and charges simultaneously • Simple installation Cons • Documentation could be better • Terminal block is a bit small for very large cables Overall: For the price, this is a solid charger for RVs, trailers, or small off-grid systems. It charged my 100Ah lithium battery quickly and behaved exactly as expected during the charge cycle.
