We've had the 52 gallon Vevor Chiller for about 3 months now. Using it with a 40 gallon breeder tank, which is home to an axolotl. I deliberately waited to write a review until we owned it long enough to have some validity. This is a summary of our experience so far: 1) the thermostat temperature readout is fairly accurate (within 0.3 degrees F, based on when it kicks in - kicks out. I do wish the readout included the 1st decimal point, however as we confirmed the water temperature when it kicks in/out, the readout is sufficient. 2) When set for 63F it kicks in when the temperature hits 65 and kicks out when it lowers it to 63F. 3) Unit runs reasonably quiet, however it will start to make more noise when the unit needs cleaning. If it starts to get noisier, pay attention (see next point). 4) The unit shuts down the chiller if the water flow becomes insufficient. I understand that this is to protect from the chiller freezing the water in the chiller tubing. If the fan kicks in but the chiller doesn't, the unit needs to be cleaned. This happened to us once. If it happens to you, don't panic. Remove the intake and discharge hoses and clean them, as well as the pump (and spray bar if you use one). Quick tip: to clean out the water supply lines, attach a suitably-sized small bottle brush to a metal coat hanger. You can tape it on with electrical or duct tape. 5) The included pump is performing as expected. As we do have a sand bottom, we use an intake sponge filter on the pump to prevent sand (as well as other goodies) from being drawn into the pump. I clean the filter about once a week. We also use it in combination with a homemade spray bar in order to dissipate the discharge current. So far we are satisfied customers. If it allows me to, I will update this review again at the 1 year mark.

We used the 500 gallon 1-1/2 HP water chiller to cool down our 350-gallon hot tub, and create a cool plunge, not cold. We set our temperature at 77 degrees, which is perfect for us. We did not want a cold plunge; we just needed a place to cool down in our Southern Virginia summers. After getting in for a few minutes, we are refreshed and ready to go back to work!!

Well I've had it a little over a year and I don't use it year round here in California but the days when that is hot it works like a charm no worries. I got this one running 142 gallon system and it's doing a great job don't need it a lot but when I do it's there ‼️‼️‼️ Just a note be sure to get a DC pump so you can control the speed I have my DC pump set at 18 on the dial out of 100 and it flows smooth which allows it to maintain temperature control which I like.

I bought this Item and 2 weeks later the price dropped from $1165 to just over $800 Vevor did credit me the difference If I purchased something over $1000 and did it within 30 days. Kinda feel like i got ripped off

got it super simple to setup and get running . within 6 hours was running like a top and at set temperature . only thing is I wish it was Celsius . very happy

The 1/3 hp chiller arrived in good condition. I live in Nova Scotia and was a bit surprised how quick I received it. The chiller has been working perfectly for about three weeks. At this time I would suggest anyone that needs a chiller, this would do the job.

This does everything I needed to do cooling water.
