This is a suprisingly good grinder for the price. It has features more common with larger and more expensive grinders (i.e. do you want a flat platen vs a contact wheel, do you want to run vertically vs horizontally). It comes with a reversible speed controller. Don't know if you've priced those out by themselves at any time, but for this price, I was very pleased to have that included. The build is pretty solid, and the only issue I have is that some of the adjustable features (table angle etc...) are held in place by a single allen bolt. It's not an uncommon feature, even among more expensive grinders (same with my burr king 2x72), but given the lighter build (aluminum not steel), these things would be more secure with a double bolt system (easily remedied with a drill, a tap, and another bolt...). The variable speed is great, and the motor seems to be difficult to bog down. Honestly, the limits of what you can do with this grinder are mostly going to depend on you, the belts you can get, and limits inherent to a 1x30". This sander has worked great so far doing handle contouring, fine work on a guard, and roughing in sharpening at lower speeds.

I'm mostly very impressed by this sander. Everything is nicely made and it runs very smoothly. The flat vertical platen is good for sharpening drill bits and general deburring. A couple of nits: you have to remove the top belt guard to replace the belt which would otherwise be tool-free because it takes up some of the slack in the belt when you're trying to stretch it around everything. Also, I'm not a fan of screws tightening against slots without a flat washer to bridge the gap, I will be adding those. I'm going to make a new vertical platen that is half as tall so that I can have a solid backup for grinding edges and a short section of unsupported belt for smoother deburring of edges, just my personal preference.

One of its kind at the market right now, good for small tasks, has enough power. Just a little too small for knife-making and the work-bench included could be bigger and more secure/easier to set angles and keep straight. Haven't used the wheel, it looks good but maybe too small to be useful in knife making. For the price is very cool but for my case ,will probably end up going to a bigger one when I can.

Works well and good build. I mounted vsd in sealed box and build bigger work table. Awesome machine!

Great tool, easy to setup and use. I upgraded my previous setup for this 2x72 and it has been a complete game changer. The different attachments are easy to swap out and the machine itself is very solid. Great grinder if you don't want to spend upwards of $2000.

Received Grinder in crate delivered to my Garage door as instructed After opening crate I had to remove 2) 10mm lag screws no big deal and welcomed the unit stayed put during shipping which must have been a little ruff cause on leg on crate was shorter then the other 🤣 Get a second back to help lift Grinder onto Bench top @ 100+ lbs i could have done it alone but why take the chance of getting hurt? I found Assembly to be straight forward anyone with mechanical ability should have no issues figuring it out but directions are supplied if needed As others stated do not use a GFI plug or breaker they are to sensitive and will trip on power up. I Have a dedicated 20 amp circuit for mine Product details state if you want to use 110v supply voltage you need to use supplied step up transformer since motor is rated at 220v i did not receive one in the crate so i reached out to Vevor who answered my questions in a timely manner ( 2hrs ) they confirmed You do not need a Transformer since they now have a dedicated 110v and 220v models and all you need to do is verify voltage when ordering Drive is straight forward and easy to operate and also comes with A book if needed You should hang the drive higher than the grinder and to the left side of the motor to help prevent grinding dust from getting inside the fan on the drive draws air from bottom and discharges up and away from the drive so hanging it will help prevent drive from getting ruined Grinder Comes with Flat platen Large contact wheel and 2 arch wheels Belt tracking works as expected if it moves around adjust your tension Unit has all the power and speed you will need and for a lot less than other brands! I like well made tools and am not afraid of spending the money to have them. I just couldn't however get myself to spend the $2,000 to $4,000 for a professional belt grinder. So I gave up on having one until I came across a YouTube review of the Vevor 2 x 72. That review and several others convinced me and they were right. It is an amazing machine. When buying cheap Chinese, you expect tradeoffs. There are none with this grinder. It is absolutely solid, with a strong motor, and all the wheels are perfectly true and balanced. And, the VFD works perfectly. I can't recommend it enough.
