I've owned 4 different benchtop drill presses in the last 25 years. This, so far, is the best value for the money. It's heavy duty, well built, has a 3" quill travel (for pen makers, this is an important feature), and runs true. Added bonuses are the worklight, the laster pointer (first one I've ever had, and I'm surprised how much it helps), and the digital on the fly speed changes. I'm very impressed. My one complaint is the depth setting--it works fine, but instead of a quick set rotational one (I'm used to those), this one is a screw type, which takes longer to set--but is probably more accurate. All in all, a great buy, and an excellent machine for the small shop owner.

Perfect for my needs. Great fit and finish too. I have compared this even to the J blank blank company drill press and it’s very comparable for less than half the price. So far I have used it to drill 3 inch holes with a carbide tipped hole saw into 1/8 inch steel. Works like a charm, couldn’t ask for anything better.

This is what I was looking for a good drill press at a reasonable price that covers all my needs like the speed controller you can slow it to 540 up to 3200 at least that's what the readout says made a stand for it to set on in the shop to make it handier happy with the outcome thanks
