Haven't used it yet,but from looking it ,it is real high quality,really good price and has all the bells and whistles needed to do the job.The only thing I can see that may be a problem is that the condenser may be too small to cool the product quick enough.There are several built in controls(water flow control valves)that could with some fiddling solve the problem but I suspect that I will need to come up with a larger setup to cool the good stuff

High quality construction, easy to clean and very efficient distillation speed with exceptionally clean spirit result at at 70% ABV [ dependent on how much heat you apply ] Thumper tank allows for a secondary distillation stage for a purer end spirit but also allows for the introduction of desired flavors, as per in GIN production. I have added a thermometer to the outlet from the Thumper to guage the vapor temp and found behavior similar to Reflux Still column where the temperature rises and collapses cyclically due to vapor movement towards the condenser, very desirable as it shows how efficiently the Still is working as a heat engine. I ran a low and slow heat batch and then a higher heat batch thinking that the slow would produce a purer product but found no discernable difference. So, if you're into distillation this set up is a ripper, easily handles a normal brew shop 25 Lt batch of wash over about 2.5 hours with excellent results. Bonjour J'ai utilisé l'alambic hier pour faire un rinçage avec de l'eau de source. J'ai récupéré 5L d'eau distillée. Tout s'est bien passé. J'ai prévu de faire une distillation de fruits (reine-claude) prochainement. Je me permettrais de vous donner le résultat à ce moment là.
