I needed a pump to boost my newly installed 5-6 rotor sprinkler system for one zone only. Even at 65-70 psi from the Spigot using 3/4" pex 150ft tubing wasn't giving me the water pressure required to get a good spray because I discovered it's the gpm that matter more. I was only getting about 6gpm for a system of rotors that required a minimum of 8gpm total. So I did two things, swapped out the 3/4" pipes and replaced with 1" starting from the main to the Spigot and from the Spigot to the sprinklers. And I installed this automatic 1hp pump starting from the main inside my house. I primed the pump as required before starting by turning on the water supply to inlet without turning on the pump, just letting the water run thru it. Just to see how much psi I was getting without turning the motor on, I was getting a full 70-75 just from the increase in pipe diameter alone without turning the pump on and turning the sprinkler on. Soon as I turned the pump on, the psi reading shot up to 100psi but idled down to around 90-95psi. In full disclosure, I haven't tested how many gallons per minute yet I am getting now, but I can tell from the performance of the rotors spraying farther and more spread out that it has vastly improved my system. The pump turns off automatically soon as you turn off the timer or close the valve, turns on when uou open it. My only complaint to this unit is that the instructions manual to install is a joke. When yiu receive this unit, it comes with the main wire to power supply unattached to the automatic switch. Theres no clear instructions as to the order in which the 3 colored wires must be attached to the 3 empty ports its meant to go into. I wouldn't call it an instruction manual at all. Its atrocious. I tried calling vevor support to help me out, they were of no use either. So you're on your own as far as figuring it out. And the other issue I have too is that it leaks like a mother from inlet and outlet ports. I've used thick amounts of sealing tape to stop it but it still leaks. Next I'll try to add pipe dope in addition to the tape and see if that helps. I just hope that it does because if I tighten to the max, the inlets feel pretty thin and may crack as a result. Not confident it will withstand the pressure as this is probably the weakest part of the unit, I feel it may crack if i push it past its limit. But overall I am happy with the extra psi boost it has given me so far. It's a vast improvement for sure. As for how long this will last, only time can tell but for the price, which is pretty cheap, it's a good value and I'm happy with what I see so far. If anything does go wrong, vevor promises we have up to one year warranty to send it back for full refund or exchange if it's faulty. So let's see!

I replaced the old pump that was the same type but other company. The old pump was 3/4hp and 70psi so I replaced it by this one. This pump is stong but is very loud and vibrates a lot... I installed à flexible pipe to reduce the huming sound in the wall.. I insulated the bell part of the pump but still very loud.. Considering the pump is the house this may not be the best option...

I purchased the pump to maintain whole house water pressure. Unfortunately I couldn't get the pump fittings to stop leaking and the main housing on the pump had a pinhole leak in it. Wasn't satisfied with the purchase and returned it.

Wouldn't give a 1 star PERIOD this is the worst water pump i ever bought and along with the so called tech support

i looks and works like all the others, but in may case the pump does not shut off. the pump has a electronic board that takes the incoming power and links it to the pump motor. when pressure is low the pumps turns on and when the max is hit it is supposed to shut off. my will not shut off. i ‘m still waiting, after 3 video uploads it’s determined the io board needs replacement and im still waiting. it’s taking longer to get the replacement part then it took to get the original pump.

it leaks around the main pump housing after 6 months. the little silicone seal is tiny and doesn't even have a flat surface to seal against.
