We LOVE this little white truck diesel heater. *Important information below. I gave it an overall four rating (don't let this paragraph deter you) only because there are at least three or four controller displays between all the units seen on Youtube and in the manual but mine is not one of them. Though mine looks the same, it does not have the same readouts or functions. There are also some features on the older controllers that are automated on the new ones such as the altitude settings (which is quite accurate, I might add - impressive). All my learning about the unit has come from Youtube videos, and time is wasted just watching to see if it's the correct video for the correct unit and controller. It's really wise to hire a first-language-English speaking technical writers when selling to Americans . . . eg. the manual refers to the diesel as "oil." Now - all that being said, it's been worth every minute and dime. We run it to heat inside our RV skirting above freezing. On low it keeps us about 38 degrees in sub-zero temps and uses less than a pint of fuel all night - might use less than a cup. Blows my mind! Cranking it up on high gleans us about 1 degree per minute increase and maybe a liter of fuel. I don't know how hot it would ultimately heat. Re: Power. We strapped our heater to a foldable rack putting the 50 aHR lithium behind for portability but soon discovered the battery shut down in the cold (duh). Now the little battery is on our kitchen counter with the wires running through the window near an outlet to plug in our separate battery charger as needed. "Problem" is, we haven't really needed to charge it. It barely drops the battery charge all night long, but the setup works fantastic. It comes with a remote (one can't stray far from the unit) and the controller has a timer. We used blue plastic sleds with clamps for weather cover. *Three things you must know: 1)The exhaust muffler has a obscure hole in one side and it must be below the level of the unit as a significant amount of condensation develops in the pipe that will eventually plug your exhaust. This is one reason we elevated ours on a foldable fire grate. 2) You must prime the diesel using the control panel for about 10 - 20 seconds before firing the FIRST time of when you run it dry, 3) It's normal for it to shut on and off when you fire it up the first time. Be patient.

Vevor Diesel heater (cube style)

So far, so good but not without a few headaches. I found myself having Error 5 codes consistently during slightly warmer (-10°c or warmer outside) climate inside my ice shack. Regardless of installation and ensuring intake and exhaust have minimal bends to prevent obstruction, this was a recurring issue. Provisions needed to be made to allow better airflow over the heater requiring some disassembly to remove the mesh screw cap on the ambient air intake of the heater. Once removed and replaced with a zip tie, this not only hushed the air flow noise with the fan blowing but also reduced my heater max temperature by an average of 70°C. The fuel pump is also loud as expected from other reviews you'll find on the internet. This can be mitigated with some creativity and spare foam, as well as Rockwool insulation. Insulation was wrapped around the pump and electrical taped together once I confirmed with certainty that all fuel line connections were not leaking and absolutely secure. Some spare pieces of closed cell foam were added for mouse suppression. This was done between the rubber pump holding bracket to the chassis, snuggled down just enough not to move and secured with loctite. From there foam was also added against the fuel tank, and I made a seal against the metal chassis body cover to the fuel filler neck as the chassis of this heater holds spilled diesel for AGES. This has since helped prevent fuel from dribbling inside the heater and getting stuck there minimizing the smell of fuel after a refill. These mods have allowed this heater to run beyond expectations, have cut the noise easily in half from the fuel pump, has silenced some of the air noise from the fan blowing the warm air from the heater (very nice plus) and most importantly after over 30 hours so far of runtime in temperatures from -5° c to - 35° c I have not had a single problem since. Stick to high quality diesel, and this thing will fire up without problems every time. My unit is connected to 2 refurbished marine AGM batteries with 100 watts of solar attached and works incredibly well for not only helping heat up the ice shock but maintaining heat overnight. For the price however of this heater and with a little bit of effort you can make it run as well and as quiet as some of the higher priced options that exist out there.

on initial startup, like the very first time, it wasn't looking good. took 4 attempts at starting it to work. after that though, it worked fine. I wish it had a thermostat instead of 6 heat settings. does the panel disconnect? it looks like it should. had an issue with it, that customer service just resolved but it was not even 3 tanks of diesel before it failed. they suggested a new motherboard which they are supplying for free. we'll see if that fixes it.

Used to warm garage while building. Very happy on how it would warm the garage from -20 to +3-4 without. And ceiling or insulation.

8KW Diesel Heater (short white case)
Blanco
Heater came well packaged. I have been using it off and on for a little over a month now and I am quite pleased with the heat output. The shed I use it in is approximately 12x16 and not insulated making it difficult to warm up in the winter. I can now on lower heat settings take the chill off and work away comfortably. If I want to take the chill off fairly quickly I may turn it up on between 4 to 6 (6 settings, it automatically goes to 3 when started) but often run it between 1-2 which takes enough of the chill off and keeps the fuel consumption very low. I have while testing, run it (on 1) for almost 24 hours on a tank of fuel. I'm fairly certain it will do that and maybe a shade longer but didn't want to let it run to the point of it shutting down on it's own. Proper shut downs apparently being important, never just cut power without it doing the cool down process. Overall I am quite satisfied with the performance. The remote is also nice to have however it would be great if the remote had some way to tell the unit was in fact running rather than having to go out to the shed to make sure. Not a deal breaker by any means, it is still quite handy to have. I did before the initial start up remove the cover and check the fuel lines to make sure they were properly pushed in over the fittings and did have to move the metal line clips in slightly to ensure there wouldn't be any leakage. In a couple places I put some electrical tape to avoid the lines being chafed against the case until I get some grommets, etc. to protect them. I would recommend (as others have) when doing the intial run up, to do it outside in case of any burn off fumes from oils etc. from factory that may be on the metal heater unit parts. I ran mine with it sitting in the doorway of the shed (exhaust out) for a couple hours before mounting it near the back. For a temporary setup I used a piece of 3/4" plywood in the window and a pipe flange (made the plywood hole larger than the flange hole) from Canadian tire to run the exhaust outside, works great and not much gap between the exhaust pipe/flange. You do have to bend the exhaust pipe (short 90 degree pieces available on line but haven't tested them yet) right from the heater unit and if sitting on a shelf for example, you will need a couple pieces of wood such as 2x4 secured to the feet to avoid the pipe contacting/burning the surface of whatever the heater is sitting on.. screw holes are already there. As said, I am quite happy with the unit and will be buying another unit for myself, possibly one of the kits to install at the cabin. Thank you Vevor, this has personally been my 5th Vevor item from your site (plus another heater purchased as a gift) and to date have no issues with any of them.

Great heater for the price

You can't go wrong with these heaters for the price. Had a bit of a hiccup with the original fuel pump not working but Vevor sent out a replacement and the heater has been working flawless ever since.

Works great for a small heater but an elbow for the exhaust would be better for tight clearance underneath unit. Also better manual explaining the codes that come up would improve understanding of operation.

Cold Canadian Winter

The unit was easy to assemble out of the box. I did watch a youtube Video prior tho which had some good tips. The instructions that came in the box are very confusing to say the least. I assume the translation from Chinese to English makes it very difficult to instruct. I researched online and found other instructions that are more understandable and translatable for me. My model only runs for 99 minutes maximum and then shuts down which is a bit of a con for me since I planned to use it to heat a building all the way across my farmyard. I have run 3 x 99 cycles so far and am very impressed with the heat output. I plan to buy another 5K unit but will certainly research the programmability options before ordering. NOTE: the Easy to use rating only got 3 stars due to the sketchy instructions otherwise it would have got 5 stars.
