This charger is exactly what I needed. My current set up at home requires me to charge off a splitter (that I also purchased from Vevor) attached to my dryer receptacle. This charger allows me to set the amperage down to 24amps for safe chargring on a 30amp circuit. This offers great versatility for future charging if/when I can bring over a dedicated 50amp circuit (and then set the amperage back up). I also seem to be having an issue with the charger that my car came with. It’s unclear if the charger needs to be replaced or if I just cannot use it with my splitter because my dryer receptacle has no neutral. This charger does not have any issues with the dryer receptacle not having a neutral. I also love that I can use the SmartLife app to manage this charger on WiFi. Very happy with my purchase and the price.

We decided to trade in our 2014 Prius V on a 2025 Ioniq 5 with the 84kWh battery and NACS charging port. I bought this Vevor L2 with the NACS plug after looking at Tesla, Emporium and other “name brand “ chargers. Yes, those had more features and would integrate with other energy apps, but $300 savings is hard to beat. I “temporarily” wired into the panel and paralleled off of the 30A, 240 V breaker for the dryer. It’s all wired in safely with 10 ga 3C+G cable and a 14-50 receptacle to match up with the power cord on this Vevor unit. Our rooftop solar maxes out at 9kW generation, but is more typically in the 6-7 kW range, so there is no real advantage for me to shuffle the breakers around to fit a 50A-240 V to enable this charger to get up to 9.6 kW. At the 24 A setting, it puts out 5.7 kW and I don’t outrun the solar panel capacity. So far we have only charged the Ioniq with the sun. Truly emission free! I may just leave it on the 30 A, but add a switch to keep my spouse from starting a dryer load without confirming the car is not charging-oops! The unit is big, bulky and heavy. The cable is heavy; almost as big as a 1/2” garden hose. I bought a wall mount cable bracket to coil the cable on when not being used. Didn’t see one on Vevor, so used another company, but it looks like part of a set. I have it mounted inside my garage. The Ioniq starts charging as soon as I plug it in. I have it preset to 24A, but the top button on the unit allows for easy reset to 10, 16, 20, 24, 32, and 40A as needed. Basically a 40A breaker is required for 32A and a 50A is required for 40 A. I wish it was UL Listed, or something similar, but no issues with operation so far. I’ve probably charged the vehicle 30X so far.

My husband is a retired electrician so I relied on his expertise to find the right product for our first electric car. He selected this Vevor Level 1+2 portable charger because he wanted to us to be able to intially charge the car using 110v but wanted a product with an option to move up to the 240v. We used the 110v option for the first couple weeks. Then my husband installed the 240v outlet and now our vehicle charges up much faster, actually in less than half the amount of time it took with using the 110. The app that comes with the charger is OK. Does the bare minimum though. You can shut off the charger from the app, and can see that voltage, current, and power (kW) while charging. I have to use the app that goes with our vehicle for things setting the target charge level, and getting an estimate on how long it will take to reach said target. I would have been nice if the app for the charger provided that info. But other than that, we're really happy with this product. It's a great price, especially when compared to some of the outrageous prices from the vehicle manufacturer or even our local energy provider. So thanks Vevor!

Used this receptacle and three other components (all from Vevor) to provide home charging for any EV. Fantastic. An adapter is required for the Tesla.

I shopped hard to find a replacement charging box for my 2013 Volt and decided to buy VEVOR level 1&2 charger after reading the reviews I have had the charger for 2 months and used it every day on the 110V mode until I could replace the 240V charger at home. I have been extremely surprised at how well the charger has worked (which I think is better than the original equipment charger that came with the car new when I bought it) and at how well the charger was built.
