For the money a really great purchase, did exactly what it should

Lock works well, but rattles in the wind. Delivery 0/10 . I wont order from Vevor again if they continue to use Amarax. Made no attempt to deliver the item, despite several promises- I eventually had to go to the depot to pick it up.

Seems like a good lock for the price. Read the instructions closely as they are so so. Do not cut the flat metal piece that operates the indoor latch until you are sure of the exact length. Also test the lock with door open several times before closing and locking door. Overall I am happy with the lock.

Easy to install and use, nice black finish. Easy to set code but order of digits makes no difference

The door lock arrived faulty, as the front panel is totally disabled and does not work. You can open it from the front but you can not close.

Installation is not easy because of the flat bar for actuating the lock. The instructions are sorely lacking in this regard. One end of the bar has two "dimples" which must go into the combination side of the lock. There are 2 different lengths provide. I found that neither one worked for a 3.5" install and the longer one had to be cut. I cut it too short and did not have a working one because I inserted it the wrong way around. I ordered a replacement unit rather than try to get the part from tech support. Good thing I did too because the original one would not stay open fully, but "rebounded" about .5 inch not allowing the gate to close fully. However once I replaced the combo side3 of the lock with the new unit, it worked. I also rebuild my gate with 2x6s laid with the 1.5" side to mount the lock so that was room for the mechanism without having to add a block.

This lock may NOT be easy to install. If the depth you are installing the lock across is towards the wider end ( 2.5 inches / 65 mm ) then it will be nearly impossible. The two facings will need to be fully in-place or the spindle will fall out, which means you'll be trying to line up a screw to the back of a standoff that you cannot see. Good luck with that. Also the spindle droops, which makes the whole thing even more challenging. Since the mechanism of the lock proper is machined to receive two 5mm/8 screws, the better solution would be to just buy two long machine screws that fit the width of your mount, so you can actually SEE them stick out the other side and screw them on. BUT know that the rear face depressions only accommodate 4mm screw heads, so a typical 5mm Cap screw wont' fit and will BLOCK the lever on the inside. Just so awesome. Really. So, just be careful. I found a 5mm/8 cap screw whose head was a bit short, just enough so the rear lever could still clear the screw head. Made the installation MUCH easier. I also replaced the spindle with a longer one, which was great because it could be seated deep into the rear lever and thus stuck out straight instead of drooping. Actually, I lied. I first used the 95mm spindle that was included, but it fell into the fence pole. And when I asked for a replacement the service here said "nope". So I had to go source that myself. Thanks! And, as unpleasant as this was, it turns out there aren't a lot of other combination gate locks on the market and my wife likes this one and wants the next one to match. So, I'm buying a second one. Like a chump.
