Perfect for our needs. Takes some tools eg drill and a means to lift up the side of you hot tub/spa to slide plates underneath. The self-tapping screws that came with hardware did not always work well. Even if predrilled. Committed to positioning as poles are designed to be screws together. Maybe the next upgrade could have spring loaded pin adjustments or something..

Weak footing (thin metal)
Sorry, but complete JUNK! Welded footing way to thin for weight of top.. Can slide out, bend, ect. I replaced the old one with much sturdier footing.

This is not a hot tub cover. It's just the hardware to attach a cover. When I realized this I tried to return it, but was told I was out of time. I kind of get that. But then again what's the difference. It's the same item and un-used.

Sewstar Installation
The manual gave generic instructions, but no specifics. I finally found a video online. Someone with a British accent was installing a similar spa cover lift. He actually gave measurements which was very helpful as it worked well on the cover lift we bought. Trying to do it by trial and error left me several holes in the side of my brand new spa. Our hot tub is about 6 x 6 and the measurements were 12 inches down from the top of the bottom, pivot hole and 9 inches in from the side.
