I just started learning how to MIG weld and thought this would be a good idea to have to protect my garage floors from splatter.The first time I used it the splatter from the MIG burned straight though the blanket, despite seeming like a good thick material , the MIG splatter burned holes in it straight up, pretty disappointing , and annoying as I bought 2 of them one for myself and one as a gift for a friend.

The welding splatter go right thru and damaged my jeep paint . Don’t by this products I cannot thrust this product again and will throw it to garbage

it was not fire proof it was poor quality not fiberglass it was similar like plastic

Usata come tenda per proteggere dalla luce di saldatura e dalle scintille. E' abbastanza di buona qualità, protegge da luce e scintille come speravo, il problema sono gli occhielli da usare per appenderla che tendono a prendere gioco nel tessuto, se fossero di piu sarebbe piu facile tendere i bordi e il peso sarebbe meglio distribuito. L'altro problema a parer mio piu grave è che il tessuto tende a lasciare residui sulla pelle (oltre che il colore nero) se per sbaglio ci si strofina, ad esempio spostando la tenda con il braccio, e a distanza anche di alcuni giorni capita di sentire le "schegge" sulla pelle che talvolta si irrita.

This Fabric quality is decent, the craftsmanship of the stitching & trimming of excess material isn't there. I'll have to use this to see if it holds up to normal wear.

Looks well made and well packaged but fails if spatter sits on it. I used under trailer i was welding to protect the epoxy garage floor and the spatter went straight through it. Id say its only use is as a screen to deflect spatter but it wont protect anything if the spatter is allowed to sit on it. I agree with some other reviews that it loses fibreglass fibres that makes you itchy. Picture below shows a light under it and shining through the weld spatter holes. Note: The listing does say up to 550 degrees and weld spatter is molten and thousands of degrees so really cant expect it to be true welding blanket protection.

The fabric in these blankets is robust but the stitching of the salvage around the edges is poor, with the corners unraveling. The beass eyelets are particularly thin and flimsy, and fall out when trying to hang the blanket. The fabric frays where the brass eyelets have fallen out.
