I'm overall pleased with the machine, however it arrived damaged. My first impression was that it may have been a return because the power control circuit board was broken from its mount and the power wire was disconnected from the power switch, A fairly simple repair, and it has been working very well.

I got this for machining small parts for firearms that you cannot buy anymore and other parts. It's been useful for this use. The tool post holder is the weak link. It is of serious poor quality. I had a friend mill me a nice one. The indexing point for rotation is not square and cannot be squared so I remove the spring and lock post all together. It's easier to square it off that way. Otherwise a useful purchase for a small mildly powerful mini lathe.

After more than 40 years as machinist/setupman and cnc programmor, i am really impressed by this small lathe quality. Every module are very accurate, with minimum end play. I didnt yet test it, but i know it will be very usefull for accurate project. I will send more notice after serious testing.

For the price it is very good for tinkering.

Overall good product, had one minor issue when the item arrived, the magnet for the RPM sensor was missing, I contacted customer support and they took care of the issue by sending me not one replacement magnet, but grisly sent me 5. I would recommend this induct.

This is a very capable machine for the price. You will need to have some basic mechanical aptitude to set it up correctly and fine tune the machine as it is workable right out of the box but not great. After 3-4 hours of re-assembly, sanding down burrs, flattening certain slides with a stone, this machine is excellent. It machined a grade 5 bolt steel without issue. Very impressed

I looked and hunted, and hunted and looked at a lot of small metal cutting lathes before I decided to buy this one. I even went and looked at several first hand just to see what they were and how they were built. I have to say that I am very pleased with this lathe. I bought the 8x14 version and couldn't be happier with my purchase. All I had access to before was my brother-in-law's old Craftsman metal lathe and after working with my Vevor lathe a few times has made me realize just what a piece of junk that Craftsman was compared to this Vevor. Being a retired machinist of 46 years helps you recognize good tools from bad tools pretty easily. Definetely several steps up!! Excellent little lathe!!
