This lathe is surprisingly capable, and the few things "wrong" with it respond well to a little cleaning, adjusting, tightening, etc.
It's not really powerful, and although it turns aluminum and plastic without complaint, steel is a lot of work and aggressive cutting is not going to happen. Also, I don't make much use of the auto-feed; certainly not for thread-cutting, and only rarely for finish-quality feeding. The gears there are plastic, and I have not put them to the test in any way. Metal-gear kits are available, as are many other after-market mini-lathe accessories.

Nice if you don't need super precision
Needs a lot of work to get the tailstock lined up. Also some work in adjusting the carriage. Some chatter with mild steel. If you just need something to turn mild or soft metals down, this is good. It's not a 5k Jet lathe. It pretty good for what it is.

Vevor lathe
211x800 mm 850 W
This lathe is a good buy for the money I did have to go over it and tweak it a bit and file some spots other than that it runs quiet and has great power..also the reason I bought it is because of the 1.5" spindle bore.. really enjoying this machine.

value for money
The price of this lathe is fair, the value for money is there. Ideal for beginners like me. Very basic instruction book, with very few explanations, but there are many videos on YouTube on this particular product. Poorly adjusted when it leaves the factory, you have to check all the tightening points and attachments of the carriages and also the tightening of all the gears, especially the motor drive shaft which tends to loosen, bringing noise and vibration into the machine.
Before starting to turn, familiarize yourself with all the controls. I opted to buy extra metal gears to replace the original ones. When buying turning tools, you should know that this lathe is made to receive 1/2 pieces. (not mentioned anywhere). Be very careful with forward and reverse use, because you will burn the fuse, as I did. (there is only one spare). Capable of turning small parts with enough precision, ideally soft metals like Aluminum, brass or copper. Lacks strength if you
have to drill threads from 3/8 -1/4.
If you have to do threads with a turning tool, you will have to be patient because you have to change gears in the box and nothing is explained anywhere except on the cover of the machine very briefly.
In general, we have fun with this lathe, Ideal for learning the basics.

Decent machine - price point is irresistable. Wish it had the 1/2 speed gear reducer. Plenty of power. If you ever owned an old Craftsman/Atlas lathe, you will be right at home. 100mm 4 jaw chuck and other accessories are well made. Mill attachment needs expert file fit, but is of good quality. Faceplate comes from "LittleMachineShop.com", and is apparently a Vevor oversight. When it wears out, a very long time from now, I will get a bigger one.

Yeah its ok
Quoted elivery times are all lies, Hunter Express are a joke. Unit went on special the week after i paid 1040. I was very cranky and extremely demanding of the sales person. Sales team memeber maintained a professional attitude but did keep asking me to be patient which made me even more cranky with this whole purchase. Sales team gave me a great refund after the delivery so in the end I was happier.
The unit itself is a great unit, i dont know anything about lathes but i turned out my first project and am very happy with the outcome.
Im still working on some rigidity issue, mostly due to the cross slide i believe.
I will never buy from Vevor again though, cant handle being lied to and the delivery agent they use need to become insolvent, they dont deserve to be in the business of delivering goods given they were weeks past the due dates, grrrr

Expensive for the lower end quality
203x356 mm 650 W
The tooling that came with the lathe will not start a cut but luckily I had bought some indexable tooling to get started. The tool post is very wobbly and there was an oiler check valve broke off the feed screw. It is a bit expensive for such low quality but it is also just a Chinese mini lathe
