I bought this electric motor for a Logan Lathe under cabinet drive. The motor leads are just wires so you have to attach your wiring to these leads that are bundled in the connection box. I bought this motor not realizing it was a 4 pole electric motor which provides more torque. I am happy with it being a 4 pole motor but there were 9 leads in the connection box. Some of the terminology for the wires was hard to understand but it was covered in the provided documentation. I found one conflicting wire designation between the two provided documents for the motor but I made an educated guess that worked out. The discrepancy was for the call out of a wire that was described as not used but I needed it for the reverse function. Mine is wired to a main shut off switch and an in line forward/reversing switch. I have not mounted it to the lathe yet but I mocked up the wiring and have tested the motor with no load and it works in both forward/reverse. Hopefully it meets my expectations when mounted to power the lathe but I have a bunch of work to do to make that happen.

I bought this to replace my drill press motor. It has many wiring options with easy instructions. The build looks quality and it is more powerful than my old motor of the same size. It's been used twenty times or so and seems good. Only time will tell.

I’ve just started using the motor and the motor runs great. No problem connecting to a drum switch using 120 VAC for CW and CCW rotation.

Electrictian, bought for a replacement for a piece of equipment we have in the shop. Cant beat the price, unit looks really nicely made. I would say 9 out of 10 for this. I am actually buying agian for a pedestal fan i have with a ng motor.

Good product works well just what I needed for the drill press which I brought from australia 🇦🇺 the voltage in australia is 240v 50hz could not use the motor from there thanks

Installed this 1.5HP motor on vented hood exhaust blower almost a month ago. So far it was running good. I wired this motor to 208/230V. First impression is very good. The motor looks like it a good build and quality motor. However, it was just a month. :) If this motor will run 3-4 months trouble free, I would be definitely considering Vevor motors for future jobs.
