I like this thing, a lot. Initial delivery was of the wrong item and I was stressed, because I purchased this to use at my baby shower. The replacement came in time. Using this machine takes some time to figure out, as all technology does. I am in no way a popcorn efficianado. I like my popcorn like it comes out of a movie theater. The way I seem to have it kind of figured out, is by adding the coconut oil to heat up first. I let it smoke and then add the kernels and popcorn salt. I have tried a few different kernels, and white seems to pop the most consistently. The Amish brand rainbow popcorn leaves me with lots of unpopped kernels. The yellow is also better than the rainbow. I only use this machine about once a week currently (since february), so I am still figuring out the best ratio. The heat lamp keeps everything hot for a while. It feels like a sturdy machine. I dont like how often the bottom silver piece pulls out when trying to open it to grab the popcorn, but thats just me being nitpicky.
