I had been doing a tankless install at my home. I went all copper and ProPress fittings from the tankless for about 2 feet and switched to PEX A. For these copper fittings I rented a rigid to press tool for a day for $165. Since starting the tankless I decided to make a change in the hot water loop to reduce hot water time for one side of the house. I decided to purchase the SL-2430 and it performed flawlessly for the 8 presses I need to do. It was quieter than I expected and took 3-4 secs for 1/2 fittings. So far no leaks. I do prefer to use VIEGA fittings I feel they are better quality but a bit more expensive

Bought this to do plumbing work around the house from moving hot water heater and water softener to installing a slop sink in the garage. Tool performed just like the ones I had borrowed from my plumber friends at 1/3 the cost. Love the crimp counter on the tool.
