Had mine for a few months, but my best friend has had his over a year, so far longevity is good. We do a lot of spearfishing, so these things seal up a couple hundred pounds of fish in a session. I bought mine after having multiple of the cheaper sealers fail. These are so easy there is no real learning curve. Add your oil (getting the plate on the back is really the hardest part) turn it on, adjust it if you must (I haven't) and start sealing. Keep a small towel or a roll of paper towels handy to keep the opening of the bag clear of liquids so it can seal properly.

This thing is great! I used better vacuum oil from the get go - probably helps cut down on the "machine" odor. You need to remember to flip the bar down over the bag, otherwise it won't seal properly. Also, be careful with any food above room temp - the reduced pressure also reduces the boiling point of water. This can result in explosions of food. Super quiet compared to a countertop (non chamber) version. I wish some of the edges weren't quite so sharp, but just be careful!

Bis jetzt bin ich absolut begeistert von diesem Gerät. Preis-Leistung ist wirklich sehr gut. Kann ich bis jetzt nichts negatives sagen und daher eine klare Kaufempfehlung von mir. Das einzige wo man bisschen vorsichtig sein sollte, die Blechkanten unten rum sind teilweise sehr scharfkantig.

I have have used this sealer over a dozen times and im still impressed with how well it works. Its a little loud and its kind of big and takes up more space than a standard sealer, but once I used it and seen how well it sealed, I didnt mind it. I bought a little cart to put it on and i keep all my sealing supplies on it. I just roll it in and out of the pantry when needed. It can seal anything you can fit in one of the bags, even liquid. You can easily adjust the the times from the front of the sealer to help ensure you get the best seal. I like that the lid is clear so I can watch it do it's thing. Its easy to use, easy to clean, and keeps food fresh. My husband is a fishing guide and he uses this for sealing fresh bait for later use. This sealer is the only sealer he has used that actually keeps the fish from freezer burn. I bought it when it was on sale and it came with several different size bags that are precut and ready to use, an extra heat strip,rubber seal, oil to keep everything running smoothly, and a wrench. I think I paid a fair price.
