It’s heavy and awkward but a good tool to have if you need one. I hooked a bungee cord to my ceiling and attached to it which really helped with lugging the thing around

This is an excellent unit that is easy to use for automotive sheet metal. The only downfall is the weight of the machine when having to hang onto it to weld

It works well. It is heavy for portable but I would prefer it that way because it feels built better. So far very happy with it. I have only used it a few times. It only takes a split second to weld on clean thin metal.

I have wanted one of these for years, but always ended up using the mig welder or screwing things together. Ran across a nice big restaurant strainer made of stainless that the handle was spot welded on, but had broken loose. I didn't want to buy the correct gas for the mig and didn't want screws in the handle, so I bought this. Cleaned up the metal on both pieces, clamped it on, held the button just a couple of seconds and it worked great, so I went ahead as it originally had about 8 spot welds, and did 7 more. I should have bought one years ago, lots of projects would have been much quicker, easier and cheaper, since I would not be using any wire or gas.

This works as well as any other spot welder I have used from multiple brands. Great price point for a homeowner or hobbyist.

Gute Qualität,macht seinen job.

I would have liked the arm's a bit longer other than that spot welder good

Hätte nicht gedacht für den Preis ein vernünftiges Punktschweißgerät zu bekommen. Sehr sehr gut auch im gebrauch mit Edelstahl.

I'm very pleased with my spot. Welder.. The quality is good. It works very well and I found it much more useful than I expected. The only way the transaction could have been improved was that specifications provided by vivor were not at all helpful and I had to take a big risk that the device would work properly. In particular, the rating is given as 8 KVA which seems to be excessive for a domestic electric circuit in Australia. It took several exchanges of emails to clarify . The bottom line is that like that il the welder may take a large peak current when initially connected. It is not the current associated with welding but with the possible state of magnetization of the core. The result is that sometimes a domestic residual current protection device can trip. I have found this to be a minor but real inconvenience with a low-rated protection with a 20 amp residual current device I found there was no problem.
