Previously owned a 17" Jet floor model drill press for many years. For the price this benchtop press is great. The quality seems really good, and it was easy to assemble and set up. I has all the features out of the box you would want on a drill press so you don't have to buy anything extra. I bought this press to do Lutherie work.

I’ve had this drillpress for a while now and has saved me. I feel like I have a $1200 drill press for much much much less. Sorry about my messy picture. I was real excited about the laser, but all these now have lasers. I never use it. I use the light and I line it up first and then drill it just like you would with any other drill press. On that note, I did set up my lasers and they are right on the spot and easy to set up. As I recall so easy to put together. Custom bench and table by myself. The table is held on with heavy duty, rare earth magnets. Very hard to get on and off but true as true for my table.

crystal Just heavy, mostly steady drill press for my small home office shop

Just grabbed this for my little home office corner where i stash a small workbench. The motor feels strong and it cuts through 2x4s clean. I like that i can tweak the speed and the laser helps when i’m half awake before work. Changing belts is a bit annoying though and the table crank isn’t very smooth. Still works fine for weekend projects when u don’t want a huge floor press in the way.

Installed and well used. Only issue - top cover came slightly misaligned and wont straighten but doesnt affect operation.
