Anvils should be shipped in wooden crates. So many people have said it now it should be changed. Delivery was super quick, price was fabulous and the packaging on the forge was A1 but the anvil came falling out of its box. Its a bit rediculous

Bonne petite enclume. Je n'ai pas encore pu évaluer la table, car certains disent qu'elle marque, mais elle est parfaitement plane et les angles biens droits. Hormis la table, la surface est très granuleuse mais ce ne devrait pas être un problème. A noter que lors de la commande initiale, l'une a été retournée par le transporteur pour cause de "colis abîmé". Le support Vevor a été d'une aide précieuse, et la seconde reçue quelques temps après était parfaite. Concernant l'emballage il s'agit d'un simple carton, donc forcément, pour une enclume c'est pas top... Peut être l'expédier dans un cadre de callage en pin grossier (à 2 francs 6 sous) comme armature au cartonnage d'expédition permettrait d'éviter ces désagréments de transports en évitant de traumatiser le transporteur avec un cartonage basique incapable de supporter les dixaines de kilos d'une enclume lors des manutentions indispensables... (forcément : Le carton n'est pas prévu pour) Ceci dit, très satisfait au global.

This anvil is decent for the money, it has fairly good rebound too. The only thing I don't like about it is the location of the pritchel hole. It's on the horn and below the surface of the face. But if you're looking to get into blacksmithing, you can't go wrong.

Good start for anyone. Heat and oil it if you have the means and keep it in a shed, garage, or barn, or out of the elements somehow to prevent rust.

It's a nice anvil for beginner blacksmiths. Sturdy enough to sustain continuous 1.5kg hammer blows without showing signs of wear. The paint gradually comes off with usage, but that's just a cosmetic aspect (and, if I dah to be honest, the bright blue paint is plain ugly). Rebound is good enough for 300g-800g hammers. However, when it comes to heavier blows like 1.5kg hammers, it doesn't help as much. The anvil is a bit noisy, especially if you hit the horns. A quick fix for the noise is to stick a strong magnet to the end of the horns to reduce high-pitch vibrations. I would highly suggest you place this anvil on a heavy base that can hold it still, since it tends to wander around when hit with a heavy hammer. Also, I'm currently working on some upgrades like welding a wider base to the anvil legs to increase both weight and stability.

Contexte : Amateur pas trop musclé Remarques : Je pensais que ce serait plus imposant, mais c'est suffisamment lourd comme ça. Contre: Emballage qui a un peu souffert, mais l'enclume est intacte (pas sûr que ce soit le cas pour les objets autour) Pour: Pas de surprise, identique à la photo. Bleu moche, mais bel état de surface sur la zone de travail. J'ai enfin réussi à plier une patte métallique assez épaisse sans rien casser, ni risquer de me faire mal. Pas de trace de frappe sur la surface après le premier essai. Ca devrait parfaitement convenir à mes petits bricolages d'amateur.

I've been using this anvil for alittle over a month and it seems to be a great anvil for a low cost. It has great rebound and has been able to do what I need it to do. It has a few small flaws but for the price you can deal with it.

The horn could be more smooth. I will have to grind it. One of the holes should have been square, but both holes are round. Apart from these things, I am satisfied.
