For what it is it's good. The horn is not a good shape and the pritchel hole is useless. The face is flat and the edges and milling need dressing but it works. If you need a travel anvil or just starting out it'll be just fine.

This anvil is pretty soft as anvils go. First day I left some marks in it with a rounding hammer.

I love this thing. For a 66 lb'er it puts up with everything I dish out! There's nothing wrong with this little anvil.

This anvil price per pound is unbelievable. The placement of the holes is a little inconvenient and not cleaned out at all but again for the price I'm not complaining. I was using a railroad track that had a rebound of about 5 and the rebound on this anvil is about 9 so its a great upgrade. If I were to change anything it would be the shrink the horn a little and have it round instead of oval and move the holes but all in all I recomend this anvil to everyone whose interested in starting blacksmithing

This is not a high end anvil by any means, but for the price, it is an absolutely great anvil and it is very useful for what I use it, which is just sporadic hobby use. The anvil is perfectly capable to be used for hobby blacksmithing and just non professional home use. Thus far I have no complaints other than some poor finishing which ive had to improve by grinding the anvil and by repainting it, but once I was done setting up the anvil, it has been just perfect for what I intended to use it for. If youre gonna be doing a lot of blacksmithing and banging away at red hot steel, id recommend investing in a bigger, harder, poured steel anvil, not a cast steel like this one.
