It is what it is - a big heavy lump of cast iron with a couple of holes and the top machined flat. I don't do blacksmithing, but I use it to cold form metal - lay it on there and hit it with a hammer.
Please take it straight down the shed - if you leave it in the hallway a cat might run under your feet causing you to slip/kick it and break a bone in your foot. Ask me how I know.

Literary rough around the edges. If you can`t grind it to usable condition, and need edges to do work, don`t buy it. Main advantage - real hard face. But horn is soft and this is disappointment in general, but ok for my particular use. Hardy hole need some attention to be usable. DIY friendly, not out-of-the-box use supported.
