Anvil

Anvil is good. Just took almost a month to get though. Pilot driver that delivered it was very friendly!

It's a big hunk of metal
132 libras Negro
Mine got beaten to hell in shipping. It was sticking out of the side of its all but shattered box when I got it. Some rust and a chipped end, but all of that was almost certainly the delivery folks hating a heavy box. I did find used anvils of higher quality and similar price locally after the fact, and found it at a lower price than on the vevor site later as well so that was a bummer. So maybe shop around a bit. It's perfectly serviceable from my unskilled perspective though. I got it to learn a little smithing so my opinion on quality isn't the most reliable. But by my estimate it tested at about 70 or 80% of the ball bearing bounce height a blindingly expensive anvil produced at literally a tenth of the cost. So I'm still perfectly content and won't ship it back even with its damage it incurred.

Receive the annual package very well for the cost I was not expecting a whole lot. I knew it would do what I wanted it to do. I was pleasantly surprised to find the hardness very acceptable for the entry price level. I did not check it with the ball bearing, but my 22 ounce ball pan hammer bounces really well. I did knock a little bit down on the quality because the Hardy hole is really not straight. it’s kind of taper, which is really not a problem. I have not found any defects. I’ve only used it two or three times so far and it has held up very well under hot steel while I’m pounding it overall I would give it a 97 because of the price.

This is a great anvil for the money. While all the local antique dealers have been watching too much Forged in Fire causing the price of used anvils to skyrocket to well above the fair price. I was skeptical at first but it really is a great anvil. I can find no faults with it whatsoever.

132lb anvil
132 libras Negro
We’re do I start.
I had bin looking for an anvil for over a year but couldn’t find one in my price rang. I own a lot of VEVOR tools and figured I check to see in they have any. There were several to chose from. I ordered a 55Lb anvil and it was decent so I pulled the trigger and bought the 132lb anvil.
The anvil was well packaged and arrived on time. The crate the used to hip it in was built solid. I was expecting it to be all beet up but to my surprise it was intact. I used it the other day to make some hanger hooks and all I can say is wow. For the price point this anvil is well worth it.

Is this the absolute best of the best 65 HRC german anvil from the most expensive brand? No.
Does this absolutely get the job done for 95-99% of people? yes
I highly recommend this anvil for anyone who is starting out blacksmithing or just needs something hard to fix things on. Mine had some defects, but still works perfectly fine. I have made high quality damascus stuff on this anvil, and am planning on ordering a couple more. In my opinion, better than the alternative Doyle anvil from harbor freight which I also own. HRC tested this with my files and it came out to an avg of 53 HRC. Slightly lower than advertised, but the main anvil section was 57 HRC, better than advertised.

Amazing experience. The anvil was received in 3 days, although the delivery guy wasn't enthusiastic about moving 140# box. The anvil was exactly as described, fantastic quality and very well finished. Vevor is my go-to company for tools like this! Well Done!

Une bonne enclume
132 libras Negro
Première enclume achetée parce que les prix demandés pour de vieilles enclumes sont hallucinants vu l'état dans lequel elles sont proposées table voilée, plus de rebond etc...
A l'utilisation:
Bon rebond
Dure, pas encore marquée par les coups de marteau
trous Hardy et Pritchel bruts à limer
Sinon rien à redire satisfait de mon achat
