We purchased this chiller for our distillery to cool two stills, and it has performed very well for our setup. The one thing we didn’t initially pay close attention to was the inlet and outlet size on the unit. They are 2", so we had to step them down to match our plumbing. We ended up running about 100+ feet of 3/4" PEX for both the supply and return lines. Even with that run length, the chiller keeps our condensers at around 50°F when it’s 90°F outside, which has been excellent performance for our needs. The units are also very quiet, which was a pleasant surprise. One thing buyers should understand is that this is industrial equipment and requires 208V three-phase power. We have that available at our distillery, so it wasn’t an issue for us. Since the units are manufactured in China, the three-phase wiring configuration is a little different from standard U.S. setups. The terminals were clearly labeled, but when we first powered the unit on it indicated that the phase rotation was incorrect. I looked it up and simply swapped two wires, and the unit started right up and has been running perfectly ever since. Our unit is installed outside and exposed to the weather, and it has handled that without any problems. One other nice feature is that the machine supports remote start and stop, which I’m planning to integrate since I’m a software engineer. Overall, it’s been a solid and reliable chiller for our distillery operation.

We have purchased these in the past. This particular unit arrived with a bad circulation pump/motor. Vevor Customer Support made filing a manufacturers defect claim painless & we were made whole within 3 business days. Could not have asked for a better outcome. Will buy again.

THIS UNIT HAS BEEN RUNNIG FOR 1.75 YEARS NOW. THE PRODUCTION TECHS LOVE THE SIMPLICITY OF USE AND SMALL FOOTPRINT. MAINTENANCE TECHNICIANS LOVE THE LOW MAINTENANCE NEEDED. ONLY ONE ISSUE WITH THE PUMP SEAL, BUT THAT IS NORMAL WEAR AND TEAR. I AM BUYING ANOTHER UNIT TODAY.

This chiller has exceeded our expectations. Flow is great & unit gets super cold. Build quality is excellent as well. Would highly recommend.

The water loop is not closed. If there is more incoming pressure, the water just flows out of the open tank. I probably needed a thirty ton or two interconnected for it to work. People don't need this but need THREE FOUR AWG OR THREE AWG WIRE WITH A PROPER DISCONNECT. A REGULAR 120/208 ELECTRIC PANEL WONT WORK. VEVOR PROVIDES GOOD PRICING BUT THEY DEFINITELY NEED TO PROVIDE MORE DETAILS ON THE WEBSITE. You just don't know what you are buying at times and get more information from the comments section than the provided details.

Right out of the crate the recirculation pump motor was bad, Went back and forth with customer service for two weeks about this issue. I still don't have a replacement motor. And you can't buy one off the shelf due to its metric size. Very disappointed

The unit arrived well packaged and was easy to connect to AC power. It energized without any issues. Process connections were made and distilled water was circulated throughout the system. Using cleat braided PVC tubing I could see dirty black water coming out from the unit. This dirty water returned to the chillers tank and contaminated 35 gals of distilled water. This dirty water had to be drained and then new fresh clean water was added. Obviously this was disappointing and I had to ask myself why didn’t VEVOR test /flush this unit at the factory? NOTE TO FUTURE OWNERS- FLUSH SYSTEM WITH TAP WATER AND DRAIN PRIOR TO ADDING DISTILLED WATER! In addition setting temperature to 45 degrees F or lower results in an ERROR of the unit “freezing up”. This was another disappointment since the unit is advertised to reach 41 degrees F but cannot actually achieve this. In conclusion, the unit is ok and well built but there are a couple of small details that would make the unit better if they were resolved.
