The VEVOR commercial ice maker has been great for my small takeout place. It produces a batch of ice in about 8–10 minutes, depending on how thick you set the cubes. The fast cycle really helps during busy hours when we need a steady supply. The storage bin holds up to 30 lbs of ice, which is enough to get us through rush periods without constantly waiting for new ice. On average, the 130 lbs per day output is close to what we need in summer, though in slower seasons we don’t really push it that hard. The control panel is simple and easy to understand. I didn’t have to spend much time figuring it out, and the alerts for water level, full bin, and any issues are very useful too. The self-cleaning function is also a nice bonus since it saves time on maintenance. Setup is straightforward. The tutorial video helped a lot, but you’ll want to have your own tools ready because installation isn’t completely plug-and-play.

I installed this VEVOR ice maker in my workshop where we go through a surprising amount of ice during the summer months. One thing prospective buyers should understand is that this is a true ice-making machine, not a freezer. The storage bin is insulated, but the ice will gradually melt if left sitting for extended periods, which is normal for machines in this category. As the ice melts, the machine simply makes more. During operation, I found it noticeably quieter than I expected from a commercial-style unit. There is some fan and compressor noise, but nothing excessive. I’ve been using this for gatherings and everyday ice use, and it produces ice much faster than I expected. The storage bin holds a decent amount, so I’m not constantly waiting for more ice to finish. The stainless steel design gives it a cleaner commercial look, and the LED controls are straightforward to use. I also like the self-cleaning feature since it makes maintenance easier compared to smaller countertop machines I’ve used before. It is larger and heavier than a basic home ice maker, so you’ll want to plan space for it whether using it built-in or freestanding. Makes ice very well but as the ice in the bin builds. The new ice gets hung up on the discharge flap and it causes an error. With the error on the display it stops making ice. It needs to be babysat and ice broken up or it stops making. Makes about 15lbs of ice before it starts to act up. No where near the 30lb capacity they advertise. I have sent videos and pictures of what is happen and VEVOR says that it is operating normally. It needs a bigger storage bin to truely make 30lbs of ice unattended.

The machine arrived damaged. I sent photos and received an email saying I would hear back within 48 hours, but I haven’t received any follow-up. Other than that, it works well.

Piece of junk. Cannot keep ice cold enough. Mostly Ice just melts and unit is constantly making new ice to replenish melting cubes. DO NOT deal with vevor. They refuse to return the unit. Emails back fourth trying to fix it. They think I’m a repair technician. Days between responses. RETURN this garbage, loud unit.

In the ad it showed it hooking up to a bottle of water and being about to make ice through that way but nope. There are 2 different models and it doesn't tell u what model your getting. Very disappointed in the customer service. Ended up keeping the unit but it's sitting in a corner because I have no way of hooking it up. Waste of money. The returning the item was way more effort then the money wasted. And again customer service was no help.

Ice maker works great and was a great price. Unfortunately it came damaged during shipping and VEVOR would only offer a $100 coupon for the damage. Even bought the shipping protection they offer and all it did was redirect me to Vevors shipping claims. So don’t waste your money on the shipping protection. Luckily this isn’t in a part of my house where it will be seen and I can live with the damage, as they gave me no other choice!
