My previous ice machine was a commercial unit. This one is fairly equivalent. The difference is this one was less than $300 and the previous one was $1300. I would definitely buy this again and it has been nothing but great for my personal at home use.

Since I live on the lake with a boat, I do a lot of entertaining all summer. My refrigerator ice maker can't keep up for filling coolers so I had to buy bags of ice. This machine will probably pay for itself in one season. I easily installed it in the boat house without issues since I have a water hookup and just drain it into the lake. I'll need to store it in the heated garage during the winter, but it is compact enough to move around. It makes ice as fast as we can use it up. The machine looks beautiful and commercial quality and a fair price. The controls are easy to understand. So far it seems reliable and has not disappointed.

With a family of 6 we have run out of ice more times than I can count. Birthday parties, fishing trips, camping, amusement park days, we are constantly needing bulk ice and constantly making last minute store runs for bags of it. This solved all of that. We already had an unused water line from when we finished our basement so installation was not bad at all. It runs quietly which I was not expecting and having a constant supply of ice on hand has already changed how we do things around here. 130 pounds a day is no joke. We are never running out again.

Buy it you won’t be disappointed. First it’s simple to set up and use. The instructions are very easy to understand. Plumb it in and plug it in. Programming it is simple. Cleaning and minting is equally easy. Hot soapy water and you’re good to go. It runs fairly quiet for what it does. It makes ice fast and does seem to retain the cold for a long time. The internal parts are very good and well made. The cabinet is nice and easy to maintain. This is well worth the price.
