I installed this VEVOR ice maker in my workshop where we go through a surprising amount of ice during the summer months. After running it continuously for a while, I can say it produces ice much faster than the typical refrigerator ice maker most people are used to. It was a bit on the larger side but if you have room for it under a counter for example, it is very sharp looking and would look great in a higher end kitchen. One of the first things I noticed was how quickly the storage bin began filling after startup. The ice cubes come out uniform in size and are easy to scoop. The stainless steel exterior gives it a clean commercial appearance, and it looks right at home whether it's installed in a garage, home bar, break room, or small business setting. Setup was fairly straightforward. Once connected to a water supply and drain, it was producing ice without much effort. The control panel is simple to understand, and I appreciate having the self-cleaning function since that helps reduce maintenance over time. One thing prospective buyers should understand is that this is a true ice-making machine, not a freezer. The storage bin is insulated, but the ice will gradually melt if left sitting for extended periods, which is normal for machines in this category. As the ice melts, the machine simply makes more. During operation, I found it noticeably quieter than I expected from a commercial-style unit. There is some fan and compressor noise, but nothing excessive. For the amount of ice it produces, the performance has been impressive. 💡 Tip: Before using the machine for the first time, run a cleaning cycle and discard the first batch of ice. This helps flush out any manufacturing residue from the water lines. 💡 Tip: If possible, use filtered water. Not only does it improve the taste of the ice, but it can also help reduce mineral buildup inside the machine over time. 💡 Tip: Make sure you have a proper drain location planned before installation.
