Works great, even has a counter built-in so you're not guessing how long until next service. Crimped a whole softener system in 2" copper - L for a boiler room, and this thing just purred through the first 280 crimps so far. Absolutely worth not spending 4x as much on those other guys.

This is an excellent value compared to the well known brands. I was told by customer service that this specific model EB-1550 would press pex, but if does not (I think the product details have been cleaned up since winter/spring 26). I’ve used it for pressing copper fittings on water heater swaps and it has been great. I ordered a Pex A expansion kit today since it seems to be the most cost effective solution to running pex for this specific remodel (the reason I bought the 1550). Buy the tool for pressing metal fittings(I can’t imagine you’ll regret it), just don’t expect it to work with pex!!

I bought this after paying over $1,000 for two other pin hole leaks. At some point I will probably have to replace all of my copper piping, but until then, this will save me money. The only downside (for me) was the smaller kit ( 1/2" - 1") was out-of-stock, so I had to buy the larger, more expensive, kit since I had a current leak. Tip, if you can, tie some string around the hole and put the other end in a container. The string will soak up the water and transfer down so it will collect in the container, buying you time.
