This is a really good general little belt grinder. Its small but don't let that fool you, It can grind a knife down, do bevels handle then sharpen it . It may take a little longer but if your in ance out hurry or production you should have gotten a professional one instead. This one is a good all around the shop grinder and belt swap is super easy..Two suggestions to make it better is a stiffer spring or a tension rod on the belt to keep it tighter and some bounce out of the belt. Also needs a bigger table or work on or offer a bigger add on.

This is a suprisingly good grinder for the price. It has features more common with larger and more expensive grinders (i.e. do you want a flat platen vs a contact wheel, do you want to run vertically vs horizontally). It comes with a reversible speed controller. Don't know if you've priced those out by themselves at any time, but for this price, I was very pleased to have that included. The build is pretty solid, and the only issue I have is that some of the adjustable features (table angle etc...) are held in place by a single allen bolt. It's not an uncommon feature, even among more expensive grinders (same with my burr king 2x72), but given the lighter build (aluminum not steel), these things would be more secure with a double bolt system (easily remedied with a drill, a tap, and another bolt...). The variable speed is great, and the motor seems to be difficult to bog down. Honestly, the limits of what you can do with this grinder are mostly going to depend on you, the belts you can get, and limits inherent to a 1x30". This sander has worked great so far doing handle contouring, fine work on a guard, and roughing in sharpening at lower speeds.

I'm mostly very impressed by this sander. Everything is nicely made and it runs very smoothly. The flat vertical platen is good for sharpening drill bits and general deburring. A couple of nits: you have to remove the top belt guard to replace the belt which would otherwise be tool-free because it takes up some of the slack in the belt when you're trying to stretch it around everything. Also, I'm not a fan of screws tightening against slots without a flat washer to bridge the gap, I will be adding those. I'm going to make a new vertical platen that is half as tall so that I can have a solid backup for grinding edges and a short section of unsupported belt for smoother deburring of edges, just my personal preference.

As an entry level 2x72 grinder, this can not be beat. It is built well, and works as it should. The only reason it is not getting 5 stars, is sometimes it stalls when doing heavy grinding. If the pressure is too much the machine will shut down. The only other problem I had, was the weight. Unboxing it and carrying it to my grinder station was a harrowing task. Make sure you have a friend to help you. If you are looking for a price friendly start this is the machine for you for sure.

Das Gerät ist sauber verarbeitet, hat sich leicht montieren lassen. Der einzige Nachteil ist, daß die Regeltasten nicht reagieren. Schade, ansonsten würde es allen Erwartungen bis jetzt erfüllen

This belt grinder offers exceptional performance for a variety of metalworking tasks. Its robust construction ensures durability and consistent operation even under heavy use. The variable speed control allows for precise adjustments, catering to different material types and finishing requirements. Overall, this tool is a valuable asset for any hobbyists workshop seeking reliable and versatile grinding capabilities.

So where do I start well it came very well packaged delivery time was very quick I got it out to my shop it was easy to put together very little assembly was required The variable speed control works great was really easy great for someone getting into knife making or blacksmithing such as myself or somebody that doesn't have a lot of shop space again such as myself because it is small but powerful little tool has way more power than my 4x30 belt sander that I've been using and takes up less space I cannot say enough good things about this vevor belt grinder 5 stars all the way

This tool is a great compliment to my various metallurgical hobbies. It functions quite well and allows me to shine, sharpen, and shape my knives and my jewelry. despite not having an enormous size, it works very well and so long as your project isn't too large it works wonderfully. Even with larger products it can work to a fairly good degree. I have used it for axes, daggers, cooking knives, camping knives, and more. It is a great tool.
