This is the lower end of the wire strippers but it does the job well once you figure out the ideal position for the cable. The instructions are vague so the bottom line is the cable needs to be lower than the cutting point

That machine works very well and as intended. What I don't like is the instructions. The only reason I knew I needed to install the vent for the gear box was after reading about it on another review. NO where in the instructions does it inform what to do with the vent cap. More instruction on how to use the guide plates would be helpful also. I found that lowering the guide plate so the wire has to bend up to go over the rollers helped keep it in the "V" so the knife wheel cuts the sheathing as needed. I was just about to ask for a return until I tried it one more time since I have a lot of wire to strip. I am glad I did and was able to figure out how to mount the guide.

Works good. Takes a little getting use to and have to control the wire from rolling while stripping but well worth what I spent on this. Stripped 1000+ feet of 400amp wire

Glad I bought this wire stripper. It has already paid for itself! So glad I got the automatic version, the hand crank on this is pretty hard to turn and get going. I could see manual for smaller wire maybe, but nothing large. It works really good once everything is adjusted, I spent a half a day messing around with centering the blades, moving the feeder ports up and trying to properly adjust the blade depth to cut the insulation all the way to the wire and not score the copper. Once it was all set though this thing is a dream for stripping.

Na menšie prierezy kábla to nieje vhodné, aj keď by to malo ísť. Od prierezu 16mm2 hore, to funguje skoro perfektne. Na VN káble do prierezu 240mm2 to funguje priam výborne. Jednu vec ľutujem, že som si to nekúpil ovela skôr. Dostalo to pri mne neskutočne zabrať, čakal som že to zlomím prvý deň a vydržalo to. Keď to pokazím, kúpim si ďalší ale už elektrický

Wonderful machine. Very easy to use. I'm a guy who scraps copper when I find some, not as someone who does it daily so I cannot speak to the long-term usage of this machine. For less that 200$, you can have someone that makes stripping wire SO MUCH EASIER. It comes with an extra blade although I don't know how to install it so that will be fun. It strips the outer coating of Romex and this low gauge multi-phase wire very easily. It's a good investment if you want to make extra money out of the wire you take home. I'm aware they make bigger stronger faster models but for a couple hours of my time after work once a month to strip a boatload of copper, it's worth the buy. It looks really nice and the build quality seems solid for something in this price range. It even has a safety stop if you have kids. You pull the little yellow tab on the power switch and it makes it inoperable so there's that going for it too. I have yet to mount it to anything as I do not have a workbench and I am using a folding camping table, but it works just fine and has very little vibration. Hell, it's heavy enough that it won't vibrate off the table either way. Thanks vevor
